tender strength

born from an exercise in traveling through resistance and creative block and taking inspiration from the growing plants around, this body of work is an ode to the resilience the natural world shows us, and a reminder that we too can survive through the dry and harsh seasons we might experience. these sweet and simple pieces have been a beautiful reminder of strength, hope, and surrender, allowing my roots to spread at the pace they can while nourishing from the soil that grounds me.

MATERIALS
Sennelier watercolor on JS Swan 250 g/m² paper. the JS Swan paper is a 100% cellulose handmade paper with a very slight grain which adds a beautiful vivid texture to the painting.

SIZE
each original watercolor painting is 14 × 24 cm.

FRAME
each piece comes unframed. I work with a French framer based in Bordeaux and if you wish custom framing for your piece please reach out via schubert.annelies@gmail.com. each frame is made in France using French Oak Wood and includes glass.
